On His way to Golgotha, in an arid, oppressive nature, with heavy trunk and
sinking moon crescent, Jesus meets his mother. Like a mountain of
sorrow, collapsed, she kneels in front of her Son. Another devote
figure with serene gesture wards off the cross from her Master and
herself.
But Christ asks her to repent her own sins, that the glad tidings of salvation be accomplished in her too.
