"I find no fault in this man"
...then Pilate had Jesus scourged
Matthew - Mark - Luke - John
Christ wears the ridiculous robe as a true King ... but His Kingdom is not
of this world. He looks upon us, gently, admonishingly, queryingly.
His body is pining away.
The soldiers mock, provoke and taunt Him.
On the left, the worldly well-to-do bully of his brother, his hand
looks manicured, used to refined manner, but his face reflects his
soul. On the right, the ruder bully. In those thugs we recognize
ourselves as civilized slanderers, scoffers and mockers.
Yet Christ rises high above the others, dominating the scene. King He remains.
